This is Dirty Phoenix-Frog, the newest member of our family. He’s actually been with us for a month now, but already he has contributed so much to One Fat Frog.

It’s actually a Canon EOS 6D, a 20.2 megapixel DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera that’s actually quite notable in the camera world. Why? Two things: Wi-Fi and GPS. Now geotagging photos and uploading them wirelessly to Facebook is not a new thing at all, especially with today’s smartphones. But smartphones can’t take amazing pictures like this picture of a fryer or any of our various equipment.

All too often we rely on our smartphones to get our social media flair in. But since we service not only all over Florida, the nation, and the globe–we realized that this professional kit wasn’t some hoity-twoity fuddy-duddy. And now that the list of DSLRs used in movies are growing, the potential for having a sub $2K camera with the power of $100K+ cinema camera are quite impressive.

And since we realized that Dirty Phoenix-Frog has been enormously useful in our day-to-day operations, expect our pictures to have a lot more quality in the future. We’ll still use pictures from our iPhones and such. But for the time being, we stepped up and we stepped up good.
